Motorola advertises Moto Z as the world's thinnest smart phone. Even after Lenovo's acquisition of Motorola Mobiles, Moto Series phones are on constant release every now and then. Lenovo is building both brands by releasing smart phones under Lenovo and Motorola. Lenovo's K5, K6 notes are newest and well sold phones. Motorola on the other hand concentrated on Moto G, Moto Z and Moto M series phones. Moto Z is under premium category which can be easily noticed by its price tag.

Moto Z features a 5.5" QHD display with 535 PPI. Built in 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM does not force user to think about expansion memory even though it can support up to 2TB. Front and Rear Cameras come with 13MP and 5 MP resolutions which are very common these days. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530 GPU boosts the premium experience of phone with processing power. To keep the phone weight to minimum, battery with just 2600mAH has been used by Moto Z. Turbo Charging capability makes the phone a winner which can charge the phone with Type C USB cable for just 15 minutes to extend battery to 7 hours of usage.

Moto Z has come with different feature Moto Mods, which other phone manufacturers did not concentrate much. Moto Mods is nothing but the ability to change specially designed back covers that come with one of JBL Soundboost Speaker, Moto Insta-share projector, Hasselblad True Zoom Camera and Incipio Offgrid Powerpack. Motorola wants to apply the same concept to bring more features to phones by adding a Moto Mod.

Motorola is conducting an event at Bengaluru on 25 January 2017 on Moto Mods. People with innovative ideas can register for the event on motocollide site. One million dollar investment support will also be given for good ideas by either One person company or an experienced firm. One can interact with hardware, software, manufacturing and other professionals at the event. Today, 22 JAN 2017 is the last day for registrations.
